Never one to hold her tongue, attorney turned reality actress Star Jones said that CNN's Anderson Cooper revealed that he was gay to boost ratings for his show Anderson Cooper 360, reports The Daily Mail UK.

But she didn't stop there. To show just how manipulative she believed Cooper to be, she compared him to media mogul Oprah Winfrey, whom she believes admitted to a troubled youth full of taboos to boost the ratings of the Oprah Winfrey Show.

"[Cooper is] a daytime talk show host and when the rating slip in daytime, the hosts tend to tell you lots of things about them.

"I remember Oprah said she smoked crack, Oprah said she was pregnant at 14 and considered suicide,' Jones said. 'There [are] times when you generate information for ratings."

Jones jokingly attempted to show remorse for her statement with a sarcastic, "Whoa, I'm sorry that I said that."
