Now Playing:  Tamela Mann Take Me to the King

Here's the skinny...

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Since you are faithful listeners then you know today is "Throwback Thursday" on The GDMS where we give you all things old school. Sometimes you just have to take a look back in order to really appreciate the strides we've made. And, since the featured "Throwback Phrase" today is "skinny" what better time than now to give you all the updates on what's happening.

So, here's the skinny Wink :

The GDMS and Rejoice Musical Soulfood have partnered with Dr. Jamal H. Bryant in an empowerement voter registration effort.  We are asking all pastors across the country to take part in the effort of registering 20, that's right just 20 people, to vote on Easter/Resurrection Sunday morning.

With all the recent voter identification laws attempting to be changed, we need to be counted in the number of those who are making history and not just sitting back and watching history be made for us.  You know the saying goes, if you don't vote, you have no voice - you don't have a right to complain.  So, let's encourage those who are not registered to vote, to participate.  Tune in to The GDMS from now until Resurrection Sunday to find out how you, your pastor and/or your church can participate in this phenomenal empowerment effort as I share the interview with Dr. Jamal H. Bryant explaining the purpose behind such a movement during one of the most critical election seasons of our times.

Don't be overwhelmed by the sound of things.  Twenty people is not a big number; and by all means register more if you would like.  This isn't very difficult at all.  In fact, most can register from the comfort of their smartphones these days.  For those who don't have smartphones all you have to do is encourage them and help them register by setting up a small station on your church pc and logging on to the appopriate website or providing voter registration application forms at your local parish for the interested persons to complete.  Tune in Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. to hear just how simple it is.  Want you join us in this effort of being 1 MILLION STRONG?

Make sure to tune in Monday as we talk to Bishop T. D. Jakes.  He gives the skinny on his newest book release and why it's important to "Let It Go". Hmmm...I wouldn't miss it if I were you because we also have gospel recording artist Mark S. Hubbard from Chicago, ILL who has all the skinny on his  most recent single "Aint it a Wonda" and news on when we can expect the release date for his next project.

So, the sum of the skinny is this: you never want to miss a day of The Greg Davis Morning Show because interesting things are always happening, interesting discussions always pop up and interesting guests always drop by.

Have a great day and remember to

GOGETIT!
