Big Brother CJ Man's Response To The Call

                           Big Brother CJ Man's Response To The Call

                                          Ephesians 4:11
11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

God has called certain men and women to govern His body, to rule, to guide, and to direct. Each member of the Body of Christ has a calling. Each calling is unique, and each calling is perfectly rewarding and satisfying to the Christian who is willing to walk by faith. Not only does every Christian have a unique calling, but each is called in a unique way. It is very important that you understand this. God does not call every person the same way.
Each christian has a unique and valid calling from god. It is ironic that some of those who are not truly called by God to a governmental ministry, sometimes desire a governmental ministry fanatically. On the other hand, those who are truly called by God, sometimes resist it the most. Let's look at Moses and the ironic fact of ministry calling in his life.
Moses had a unique relationship with the Lord. By faith, Moses when he was born, was hid three months by his parents because they saw he was a proper child, and they were not afraid of the king's commandments. (see Exodus 2:1-10) Moses was adopted and raised in the house of the daughter of Pharaoh, which meant he lived in the royal household. Moses had to decide between all the wealth, power, influence, and glory of Egypt and the slavery of his own people, Israel. Hebrews 11:27 states, "By faith, Moses forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the kings, for he endured, as seeing Him who is invisible." How many of you can forsake fame, fortune, power,influence, etc for the work of God? Can you forsake your environment that you are most comfortable in for the call of ministry?

The Stripping Process
The transition from the royal courts of Pharaoh to the backside of the desert would have been a drastic change for anyone, but God had a purpose for Moses' development; God was going to put Moses through some years of divine stripping. Could your ministry seem to be in it's lowest state due to a stripping process? Maybe it seems your hopes and dreams are not being fulfilled. Many of you may say, "I pay my tithes, I fast, I support the local church, I love the Lord with all my heart, but why am I going through all of this struggle?" It could very well be apart of your development process.

Moses, in a sense, had all of the academic degrees that Egypt could offer him, but the Lord God of Israel was not going to use these Egyptians' method, to free His people from their bondage. There is nothing wrong with being educated and reaching for higher learning, but remember God is God all by Himself. He does not need the world's way of doing things to get the glory. Your PHD won't cut it. World wisdom will not work in the church, we need a revelation from God. All the theological degrees in the world means nothing if you are not called by God.

The Stripping Process PT 2

God was going to strip Moses of all his Egyptian wisdom and begin to mold him for a task that only God's wisdom could accomplish through him. For forty years, Moses was on the backside of the desert, where he sheperded his father-in-law's sheep. He could make no claim to possess his own sheep. Moses was just a common man, in another man's work. His wife was just an ordinary woman of the desert. God was totally stripping this man whom He was going to use greatly. Moses was stripped of self-confidence and Egyptian pride. Many of you today are in this same situation. God is stripping you of yourself and your old way of hustling and thinking and is preparing you for His glory.

In the great tasks that he was going to face, Moses would need to know that God, not man was the source of his strength. Maybe you lost your house or automobile. Maybe some of you out there, lost some of your most reliable and dependable friends & family members, but don't be discouraged. God is simply showing us that He is our source. He is giving us the opportunity to see that He is the one we can lean on in the time of trouble, not man. The stripping process is a part of the plan of God for all who will respond to the call of the Lord. A leader dare not challenge God's process of calling and preperation, but the endure the process knowing that all things work together for the good to them that love the Lord.
