Big Brother CJ Hard Saying

  1.                                                  Big Brother CJ Hard Saying

  2. I Kings 19:19-21

So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him. 20And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee?

21And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.

Every leader, called and appointed by God, has what we call a "hard saying". A hard saying is a demand urged by God that may seem to be hard for an individual to bear. We can only receive from those whom we value.

If we do not value and apostolic father, it is quite impossible to receive from him. What we honor and value, we will pursue. There has to be a God connection and a kindred spirit of the individuals.

Those whom you mentor will have hard sayings. They are the ones who don't look to be the next biggest star in your life, but are those that are expecting the best out of you. Your mentor will find you, just as Elijah found Elisha. Value attracts value and not junk.

Jesus drew a line in the sand, in a manner of speaking, and only those who were sure of who Jesus was were willing to cross it. There comes a time when the line is drawn, and those who are with you, will have to rise up.

Many of Jesus' followers walked away from Him that day, because they were expecting to hear encouragement, get their egos stroked, or perhaps Jesus would hand out some more fish sandwiches. Those who were looking for manna, got a "hard saying" instead.

Jesus was trying to bring these people out of their present state and situations, but they were still holding on to the old way of doing things. Just as Jesus drew that line in the sand and only certain ones were willing to cross it, familiarity will get you disconnected from your man or woman of God. Many only wanted the miracles performed, but did not want to sit down and receive the cutting Word of God that brings about deliverance and change.

Are you willing to receive the hard saying from your man or woman of God? It is easy to shout when the preacher is preaching about prosperity, but what about when they start mentioning your life being totally "first fruited" to God, or dedicated totally to Him. What about when they tell you how to raise your kids and discipline them. What about when they tell you that the wages of sin is death? Are you willing to stay connected?

Ecclesiastes 10:4 The Message
If a ruler loses his temper against you, don't panic;
A calm disposition quiets intemperate rage.

Every God-called, God-appointed leader will have a hard saying, and Jesus is our prime example. He cleaned out His entire church in one day, when He declared that His flesh and blood was to be eaten in order to have eternal life. Only Peter, the one who had been given a revelation of Jesus, was able to cross the dividing line of faith and say, "Where shall we go? You have the words of eternal life." Peter had a point of reference, which means he knew by the Spirit of God, first and foremost, who Jesus was. He knew that Jesus was the Messiah, the anointed one, and that He has the words of eternal life.

Based on that solid, Peter was able to step past the hard saying and to value and receive from Jesus, without leaving his place of purpose. Do not let an offense drive you from your place of purpose. The most important thing is that you receive the revelation of who your leader is.

In order to receive the benefits and the rewards of what a leader carries, you must recognize the leaders God has placed over you. Recognize those that God has hand picked and anointed to bring you to your place of purpose. It will not always be easy, but it will be worth it. You must look beyond the exterior and discern by the Holy Spirit what they carry and then honor and obey. Those called to be Apostles carry a reward or inheritance and blessings, and the degree of power and influence can be transferred.

The degree of your authority is determined by the degree of your submission. If you are not under authority, You do not have the right to exercise authority over others. Your spiritual parents or mentors are a reflection of your life. True prophets point you to authority, false prophets point you away from it.
