II Samuel 22:21

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

Being established in righteousness is the key to maintaining our victory over the enemy. If you don't know who you are in Christ, it enables him to rob you blind and destroy your dreams and desires. When you became born again, you were made spiritually alive in Christ.

You were cleasned and placed in right standings with the Father. Romans says that we were made "righteous". In other words, it was not obtained by something we did to earn our place in God, but it was a gift that God chose to give to us.

It is time for us to change our perceptions of ourselves. This is why it is so important to meditate on Christ daily, so that we won't entertain negative thoughts on who we used to be. We can now come forth bodly to Christ, because we know that He has looked past our short comings and faults and created us into His own image. We are now righteous.

How do you meditate on Him? By changing your thinking. Stop thinking that you can't. Meditate on God's Word that says, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me". Instead of dwelling on sickness, say "By His stripes, I am healed." Regardless of how things may look, see yourself the way God see you. His thoughts about you are thoughts of peace to give you an expected end. He said that he knew you even in your mother's womb.

Get in to God's Word and find out what it says about you and dwell on that. This is a form of righteousness. The more you meditate on scriptures that emphasize your right-standings in Him, the more you will be able to accomplish for Him. You will no longer be defeated, because you know that, "greater is He that is within me, than he that is in the world".
