Big Brother CJ The Purpose Of A Clear Purpose

                                                               Proverbs 29:18

Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Everything God made, He made with a purpose, and for a purpose. Even the trees and the seas have a purpose (see Gen 1:1-26). Purpose is not something that can be created.

God already created purpose in all things, even us. Purpose must be discovered. It is our job to discover why we were created and and what we were created to do.

If you never discover your purpose, you are just a wanderer in life. You are as an alien in a foreign place. Just as we as being individuals have to know our purpose, so also does the Church.

Ask yourself these questions:

Why do we exist?

What are we to be?

What are we to do?

How will we accomplish our purpose?

This is where vision comes into play. Vision is the measured steps required to fulfill and to accomplish our purpose.

Just as the scripture stated above, "Where there is no vision, the people perish." Why is this? Because there is no map, no direction, no set of instructions to follow, therefore anything goes.

Do you have a vision for your life? Rejoice Family, do you have a vision for your ministry? Is there a common goal, or purpose in your sanctuary besides receiving a Word from God? What do you plan to do with what you receive from God?

Why does the church exist?
Two passages of scriptures define the existence of the Church. Every specific thing we do, to be a successful church, must encompass these two areas.

The first area is The Great Commandment. In Matthew 22:37 - 40, We see that we are to love the Lord with all of our hearts and soul and mind and then, we are also to love thy neighbor as thyself.

The second reason for the Church's existence is found in Matthew 28:19-20, The Great Commission. In this scripture, our job description consists of going into the nations and teaching them and baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost.

It goes on to say, we are to teach them to observe all things that God has commanded.

A great commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will produce a great growing church.

A lot of times, there is no church growth because we are not doing the things God has designed us to do.

Maybe you're loving God with all your heart, soul and mind, but you hate your neighbor. Or maybe, you have all of that correct, you read the Word daily and participate in the local church, but you're not teaching anyone or sharing the goodness of Jesus.

The church was created to do these things here in the earth. Remember, we are God's hands here on the earth.
